In this workshop, we will explore materials, techniques, and finishing to use when making a collage. For materials, we’ll look at different grades and types of paper, adhesive/glue needed, and tools like scissors and tweezers. For techniques, we’ll look at layering and ripping vs cutting vs hole punching. For finishing, we’ll look at glossy vs matte and spray vs brush.
Presented by Dana Wilson
Dana’s Why: It’s important that we have outlets for our emotions and energy. Crafting of any kind is a form of meditation that fulfills your spirit’s need for creativity and imagination. I have paper crafted since I was a kid, and I turn to it when I need to work through things in my mind. Allowing the creativity to be in charge frees up other areas of my brain that may need to calm or refocus.
